Czech theatrical productions and season openings

Overview

Czech theatrical institutions are introducing new productions and launching upcoming performance seasons.

In late August, the Ostrožko-Lhotské divadlo staged a production of the 19th-century comedy ‘Dámský krejčí’ (The Ladies' Tailor) in Uherský Ostroh. Additionally, the Hybernia Theatre in Prague is scheduled to host the opera ‘Divadlo světla’ (Theatre of Light) on September 15, a production inspired by the novel ‘Le Théâtre de Slávek’.

By early September, theatrical activity in Brno expanded with the start of new seasons. Divadlo Polárka announced the 11th annual Polárkový dort festival, running from September 17 to 20, featuring various premieres and ensemble performances. Concurrently, HaDivadlo began its 52nd season, themed ‘Pak přišel polibek na ústa’, focusing on intimacy and human relationships.
