DAZN NBA local media rights expansion
Overview
The Indiana Pacers have entered into an exclusive multi-year local media rights agreement with DAZN, marking the team’s departure from FanDuel Sports Network. Under this model, most games will be broadcast via a Pacers-branded streaming service on the DAZN platform.
The agreement includes an $8 million guarantee for the Pacers, supplemented by a 50-50 split of advertising revenue. To maintain accessibility, the deal provides 22 regular-season games and four preseason games for free on the DAZN app, with 15 of those games also being simulcast on over-the-air television. Paid subscription options include a monthly rate of $19.99 or a full season for $119.99, with an ‘Early Bird Season Pass’ available for $59.99 if purchased by October 15.
This partnership is part of a broader expansion of DAZN’s NBA broadcasting footprint, following similar agreements with New York-based teams and the Washington Wizards. The contract for the Pacers includes a mutual exit clause after the first year, which would allow the team to transition to the NBA’s centralized streaming hub after the 2026-27 season.
