Deployment of AI digital assistants in various sectors

Overview

New artificial intelligence-driven digital assistants have been launched to automate tasks and simplify user interactions in different professional and public sectors.

In the property management industry, the technology company Apsiyon introduced ADA, an AI assistant designed to reduce operational burdens for managers. The tool includes nine solutions, such as a call center assistant, a meeting notes generator, and document recognition capabilities, aiming to act as an active assistant rather than a mere information provider.

In the public sector, the Italian National Social Security Institute (Inps) launched Arianna to streamline access to welfare services. Presented in Rome, the tool allows citizens to communicate needs using natural language to bypass complex bureaucratic terminology. Inps President Gabriele Fava stated that the initiative aims to ‘break the cycle of increasing welfare complexity’ that often excludes vulnerable populations. By providing simple, verified responses, the system is intended to reduce bureaucratic hurdles and allow human staff to focus on more intensive support needs. Alessio Butti, Undersecretary for Innovation, described the tool as a key component of a broader government strategy toward an ‘agentic state’—an administration capable of recognizing needs and preventing errors.
