Deportation of French national from Thailand

Overview

On September 7, 2026, Thailand ordered the deportation of Kevin Dimino, a French national and manager of Samui Exotic Park on Koh Samui. Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul signed the order following allegations that Dimino engaged in behaviors threatening public order, morality, and safety. Specific accusations included harassment, physical assault, and inciting racial and religious divisions, reportedly stemming from an incident where Dimino and his partner refused entry to Israeli tourists and displayed a Palestinian flag.

Following the initial order, Dimino filed an appeal to cancel or suspend his expulsion. On September 27, 2026, the Prime Minister’s Office rejected the appeal, maintaining the original deportation order. The Ministry of Interior cited further allegations of misconduct, including harassing staff at a local language school and attacking a Turkish national with a knife. While the administrative appeal was denied, Dimino retains the right to contest the decision through the administrative court.
