Overview

Vietnam's postal and logistics entities are expanding their digital and technological capabilities. In July 2026, Viettel Post received approval from Lao Cai provincial authorities to develop a Smart Border Gate at the Kim Thanh road-bridge crossing. The company is developing the Vmap digital mapping platform, which includes over 23 million addresses, and has entered the mobile telecommunications market as a Mobile Virtual Network Operator. Through its new brand, Pottel, the company is launching travel SIM cards for international tourists, utilizing its network of approximately 13,000 service points across the country.
