To facilitate this transition, a draft bill on e-payments (UD287) is under development. The proposed legislation suggests that between 2026 and 2029, the Ministry of Digital Affairs could provide subsidies covering up to 100% of integration costs for municipalities with fewer than 10,000 residents. These subsidies aim to help local governments connect their IT systems with the government’s e-payment service, which is integrated with the mObywatel app. While the bill seeks to lower financial barriers for smaller municipalities, experts have noted that the technical readiness of domain system providers remains a significant challenge.
