Following her death, her former manager, Kwasi Ernest, revealed that Offei had been privately battling dementia for approximately four to five years. He noted that the progressive illness contributed to the incident where she became disoriented and unable to find her home. In tributes, Minority Leader in Parliament Alexander Afenyo-Markin praised her as a significant figure in the gospel music community.
