Investigation into Disappearance of Emilia Koprowska

Overview

The investigation into the disappearance of 37-year-old Emilia Koprowska, who vanished in Darłowo on August 30, 2026, following the ‘Zew Wydm’ techno festival, continues amid new evidence and procedural hurdles.

Investigators have recovered several personal items, including Koprowska’s iPhone, which was found on a beach, and a brown backpack discovered in a field approximately two kilometers from the festival site. The backpack contained her car and house keys. While authorities have struggled to bypass the iPhone’s security locks, they have managed to access some messages sent around 10:30 PM on the night she vanished, which reportedly had a “farewell character.”

Krystian Koprowski, the missing woman’s husband, has been a central figure in the inquiry. Following a reported argument between the couple, Koprowski underwent a polygraph examination. While prosecutor Ewa Dziadczyk confirmed the test, no one has been officially named as a suspect. Koprowski has since ceased providing media comments, instead directing inquiries to a Facebook group he created titled ‘Emilia Koprowska-sama prawda.’

Authorities have warned that misinformation within this group is a “big problem,” forcing police to divert resources to verify false leads. Search operations involving police, service dogs, drones, and the Maritime Search and Rescue Service continue along the Baltic Sea coast. Koprowska was last seen in a “highly distressed and tearful state” after being dropped off by a taxi. The Rutkowski Bureau maintains a 50,000 PLN reward for information leading to her discovery.
