Disciplinary actions at La Rinconada racetrack

Overview

Disciplinary actions have been taken against several jockeys at the La Rinconada racetrack in Venezuela.

On August 16, the National Board of Commissioners of the Instituto Nacional de Hipódromos (INH) issued fines to four jockeys following the 32nd meeting. Jhonathan Aray and Yonkleiver Díaz were penalized for standing in their saddles before crossing the finish line, while apprentice jockey Yamper González was fined for having his feet out of the stirrups after crossing the finish line.

By August 20, the Board of Stewards at La Rinconada issued suspensions to three different jockeys. Samuel Yánez received a two-week suspension for causing interference, while Hemirxon Medina and Yoelbis González each received six-week suspensions for their roles in causing falls during racing.
