Dolomiti Superski antitrust settlement

The Italian Antitrust Authority (AGCM) concluded an investigation into Federconsorzio Dolomiti Superski and 12 associated valley consortia regarding potential anti-competitive practices. The probe examined centralized price-setting for skipasses and restrictions placed on third-party distribution.

To resolve the matter without sanctions, the group reached a settlement involving statutory changes to prevent future coordination of prices and distribution. A 30 million euro compensation package has been established for skiers who purchased valley skipasses during the 2022/2023, 2023/2024, and 2024/2025 seasons.

Eligible consumers can choose between a 20 percent direct cash refund (totaling 12 million euros) or a 30 percent discount voucher for future purchases (totaling 18 million euros). Applications are set to open on October 15 via a dedicated online portal, requiring proof of purchase such as card numbers or bank statements. Additionally, the consortia have committed to stabilizing Super Skipass promotions for the next five winter seasons, a measure valued at approximately 20 million euros.
