Dolomiti Superski skipass refund program

Overview

Following a procedure by the Italian Competition Authority (AGCM), the Dolomiti Superski ski circuit and twelve valley consortia launched a 30 million euro compensation program for customers.

Eligible skiers who purchased specific skipasses with a validity of one to 31 days during the 2022/23, 2023/24, or 2024/25 winter seasons can apply for relief. Participants may choose between a 20% cash refund of the purchase price or a 30% discount voucher for future use. Certain pass types, such as seasonal passes, Ikon Passes, and half-day passes, are excluded from the scheme.

Upon the launch of the online application platform, users reported significant technical difficulties, including website errors, system freezes, and wait times exceeding four hours. A virtual queue was implemented to manage the high volume of traffic.
