Dominican Republic domestic infrastructure and social works
Overview
The Dominican Republic has undertaken several domestic infrastructure and social welfare developments. In Mao, Vice President Raquel Peña inspected the construction of the Luis L. Bogaert Traumatological Hospital, a project valued at RD 911 million that is approximately 35% complete.
In Santo Domingo, President Luis Abinader inaugurated a new Centro de Atención Integral a la Primera Infancia (Caipi) on República de Colombia Avenue. The facility is designed to serve 250 children from vulnerable families through a multidisciplinary model including education, health, and nutrition. This center is part of a broader effort by the National Institute for Integral Early Childhood Care (Inaipi) to support working parents through strategic alliances with local businesses.
