Overview

On 29 July 2026 Tourism Minister David Collado signed a memorandum of cooperation with the International Transport Workers' Federation. The pact aims to integrate sustainable ground‑transport services into the tourism value chain, improve safety and innovation, and reduce the sector’s environmental footprint. The agreement underscores the government’s broader push to embed sustainability across all facets of Dominican tourism, from accommodation and community-based experiences to mobility for visitors.
