DP World logistics expansion in India

Overview

DP World has initiated a series of infrastructure and connectivity expansions in India to strengthen supply chain resilience. The company inaugurated the second phase of its Nhava Sheva business park near Mumbai, an investment of approximately ₹500 crore ($52 million) that adds one million square feet of warehouse capacity.

Following this expansion, DP World launched two new double-stack rail services using the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC). These services connect the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) to the National Capital Region and to Sachana in Gujarat. These developments coincide with efforts by the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) to enhance rail-based parcel logistics via the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor.
