DRC state enterprise leadership recruitment
Overview
The Democratic Republic of the Congo's Ministry of Portfolio has initiated a recruitment process for leadership roles in fifteen state-owned enterprises. This process, which includes companies such as SNEL, REGIDESO, RVA, ONTRA, and SNCC, requires candidates to be Congolese nationals between the ages of 25 and 70.
This initiative, part of the Suminwa government's efforts, seeks to transition from political quota systems to a merit-based approach centered on competence and technical transparency. The selection process involves four stages: eligibility verification, professional background analysis, a written examination, and a final interview with a panel of experts. Following these evaluations, a ranked report will be submitted to the President for final appointments via presidential ordinance.
In conjunction with these management reforms, an opinion poll has been conducted to evaluate the governance of public institutions and measure the effectiveness of institutional reforms and public policies.
