In Changhua County, a joint task force involving the Coast Guard Administration and police arrested three suspects following a raid on a factory in Puxin Township. The operation, which resulted from a three-month investigation, led to the seizure of heroin and amphetamine with an estimated market value exceeding one million New Taiwan Dollars.
In Taoyuan, police dismantled a manufacturing operation in a rented suburban house that utilized modified household appliances, such as microwaves and washing machines, to create a semi-automated production line. Authorities seized various narcotics, including α-pyrrolidinopentiophenone, and a significant quantity of “rainbow cigarettes.” Officials noted that the scented and colorful packaging of these cigarettes is specifically designed to “lower the vigilance of teenagers.” Two suspects were transferred for prosecution.
