Drug trafficking enforcement in Rosario

Authorities in Rosario, Santa Fe, have continued operations to dismantle drug distribution sites under the provincial Micro-trafficking Law. Recent actions included the destruction of a drug bunker linked to Alan Funes, a convicted criminal serving a life sentence for homicide and narcotics offenses.

In the Bella Vista neighborhood, officials demolished another site used for the sale and storage of narcotics. During a previous raid at this location, authorities seized 800 doses of cocaine and 100 doses of marijuana. This site was reportedly operated by a gang involved in both drug trafficking and violent property usurpation, resulting in four individuals being charged.

These operations are conducted through coordinated efforts between the Ministry of Justice and Security, the Public Prosecutor's Office, and various police and federal forces. Since the enactment of the law in late 2023 under Governor Maximiliano Pullaro, there have been 147 demolitions across the province of Santa Fe, with 88 of those occurring in Rosario.
