In Hue City, the People's Court sentenced five individuals for the illegal sale of over 4.3 kg of narcotics, including methamphetamine, MDMA, ketamine, and heroin. In Ho Chi Minh City, the People's Court sentenced 79-year-old Nguyễn Thị Thược to life imprisonment for trafficking approximately 3 kg of heroin and methamphetamine. Investigations revealed she had been purchasing drugs through a contact in Cambodia since October 2024. Ten additional defendants received sentences ranging from 18 months to 20 years for various offenses, including organizing illegal drug use and failure to report crimes.
