Drunk driving incidents in Rimini

Overview

During a routine traffic stop on the SS16 Adriatica highway near Rimini, Riccione State Police intercepted a truck driven by a 60-year-old local resident. The driver tested positive for alcohol at approximately twice the legal limit, resulting in the revocation of his license.

Following protocol, the driver contacted his 53-year-old cousin to take custody of the vehicle. Upon her arrival, police conducted a breathalyzer test on the cousin, which revealed she was also driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level slightly higher than her relative. Both individuals were reported to judicial authorities. A third, sober relative was eventually summoned to recover both vehicles.
