Ducati 2026 Monster rollout

Overview

Following its design patent filing in late July 2026, the fifth-generation Ducati Monster received the 2026 Red Dot Design Award in the product design category. The international jury recognized the model for its modern reinterpretation of iconic features, including the shoulder-tank fuel tank, round headlight, and integrated seat, noting its contemporary design language and lightweight construction.

On August 10, 2026, Ducati officially launched the fifth-generation Monster in India. The lineup consists of the standard Monster and the upgraded Monster+ variant. In India, the standard model starts at Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Monster+ is priced between Rs 14.34 lakh and Rs 14.45 lakh (ex-showroom). Available color schemes include Ducati Red, Iceberg White, and Sport Livery. The Monster+ specifically includes a color-matched headlight cowl and a passenger seat cover.

The motorcycle features a minimalist aesthetic with a redesigned bison-back fuel tank, a full-LED headlight, and side panel covers designed to function as heat deflectors for rider comfort. Mechanically, it is powered by an 890cc V2 engine with Intake Variable Timing (IVT), producing 110.7 HP and 91.1 Nm of torque.

Built on a monocoque chassis where the engine serves as a stressed member, the bike has a kerb weight of 175 kg, which is 4 kg lighter than the previous version. Technical components include Showa suspension, Brembo M4.32 radial calipers, and Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tires. The electronics suite, managed via a 5-inch TFT display, utilizes a 6-axis IMU to provide cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, engine brake control, and Ducati Quick Shift 2.0 across four riding modes: Sport, Road, Urban, and Wet.
