DWS Group rebranding to Deutsche Asset Management

Overview

DWS Group, a subsidiary of Deutsche Bank, has announced a strategic rebranding initiative to transition its global umbrella brand to ‘Deutsche Asset Management’. The rollout is scheduled to begin in November 2026 and is expected to conclude by March 2027.

CEO Stefan Hoops indicated the move is intended to support international ambitions by increasing visibility among institutional clients outside of Germany and Europe. The rebranding aims to strengthen the connection between the asset manager and its parent company’s brand identity while maintaining existing operational and legal structures.

While the umbrella brand will change, the company’s stock ticker will remain ‘DWS’. Specific product lines will retain their current branding: actively managed investment funds will continue to use the ‘DWS’ name, exchange-traded funds (ETFs) will remain under the ‘Xtrackers’ brand, and US real estate investments will continue under ‘RREEF’.

Following the announcement, analysts at Jefferies upgraded DWS stock from ‘Hold’ to ‘Buy’, citing a positive outlook for the company.
