Earth Sciences Museum prehistoric exhibition in Rio

Overview

The Earth Sciences Museum (MCTer), an institution linked to the Geological Survey of Brazil (SGB), is hosting an itinerant prehistoric-themed exhibition titled ‘A Aventura Pré-Histórica’ at Morro da Urca in Rio de Janeiro. The exhibition runs from October 5 to October 18.

Due to ongoing renovations at the museum’s historic building, this partnership with Parque Bondinho aims to maintain public access to geological collections, including fossils, rocks, minerals, and meteorites.

In celebration of Children’s Day on October 12, the SGBeduca program provides special activities such as a fossil replica scavenger hunt, origami workshops, dinosaur races, and a fossil laboratory for examining specimens.
