ECOVACS home robotics technology developments
Overview
At the 2026 IFA Berlin technology show, ECOVACS highlighted the growing role of specialized robotics in reducing domestic labor. CEO David Qian noted a consumer demand for integrated solutions where multiple robots work together to manage home maintenance. The company showcased advancements in autonomy through the integration of Artificial Intelligence and Dual-LiDAR sensors.
Subsequent technical details revealed the launch of the DEEBOT X12S OmniCyclone flagship model. This device features OZMO ROLLER 3.0 mopping technology, utilizing a 27-centimeter wide roller with 4,000 Pa of pressure to remove dried stains, alongside FocusJet technology for stain treatment and a BLAST function providing up to 27,000 Pa of suction power. The hardware includes specialized brush strips for dust mite removal and an OMNI station with a time-controlled heated dirty water tank to prevent residue buildup. Designed with a low profile of 98 mm to navigate under furniture, the robot also utilizes AIVI 3D 4.0 technology for obstacle recognition to avoid pets and cables.
Comparative testing indicates that while the older X11 OmniCyclone offers faster navigation on large carpeted areas, the X12 series provides superior performance on hard floors due to its enhanced mopping capabilities, improved spray nozzles, and wider roller.
