New educational infrastructure has been inaugurated across several districts in Portugal.

In the Setúbal district, the Escola Básica 2,3 Navegador Rodrigues Soromenho reopened in Sesimbra following an expansion that added classrooms, laboratories, a library, and a sports pavilion. Simultaneously, the Escola Básica das Lagoas opened in Seixal, a project costing over five million euros with support from the Lisboa 2030 Program, providing capacity for 275 students.

In Cascais, a new secondary school was inaugurated on September 21. This facility, which accommodates 1,320 students, represents a municipal investment exceeding 32 million euros co-financed by the European Union’s Recovery and Resilience Plan. The project concludes a 51-year period of using provisional facilities. A second phase of construction, including a sports pavilion, is slated for completion by the end of 2027.
