Egypt diaspora investment fund initiative

In early August 2026 the Egyptian government used the seventh Egyptians Abroad Conference in Cairo to unveil a new investment fund aimed at Egyptians living overseas. Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly relayed President Abdel Fattah al‑Sisi’s support, emphasizing the diaspora’s role in supplying foreign currency and bolstering the economy amid regional challenges. Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk announced that the fund would be launched in 2027 and would be supported by a digital platform and mobile applications to simplify investment, company registration and real‑estate tax services. The conference also highlighted over 1,300 investment opportunities across multiple sectors and introduced fast‑track services for diaspora investors.

Later the same day, Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk provided further details, confirming that the fund will offer new investment instruments with attractive returns and streamlined subscription processes. The ministry is partnering with domestic and foreign banks to accelerate rollout and is developing an integrated digital platform for rapid company formation. New mobile apps for real‑estate tax filing have been released, with additional property‑transaction tools slated for launch. Artificial‑intelligence features will be embedded across services, and three premium tax service centres, including one in New Cairo, have opened, with virtual assistance planned for the following year.
