Overview

Egyptian officials have engaged in high-level diplomatic efforts to address political stability and election processes in Libya and Palestine. Egypt also coordinated with the United States, with Abdelatty discussing political initiatives with U.S. advisor Massad Boulos to overcome internal Libyan divisions while maintaining that the process must remain “purely Libyan.”
