Overview
The El Campín stadium project in Bogotá is facing logistical and infrastructural challenges. Construction of the new stadium has been delayed until December 2028, following a seven-month delay by the contractor, Sencia, in submitting necessary traffic studies. Significant damage to the pitch caused by a recent BTS concert has threatened the scheduling of upcoming football matches for clubs Millonarios and Independiente Santa Fe. Although Sencia has begun reinstalling grass, the recovery process may force the rescheduling of matches originally set for mid-October.
