In Hermosillo, Sonora, Governor Alfonso Durazo Montaño has launched the Línea Eléctrica Exprés, an initiative aimed at transitioning toward electric public transportation. The project represents an investment of 115 million pesos to deploy 20 100% electric buses.

The new 22-kilometer line connects the north and central areas of the city, serving 112 neighborhoods, 113 schools, and six hospitals. The service is designed to facilitate up to 2.2 million annual trips with high-frequency intervals ranging from four to five minutes. This implementation is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 2,417 tons per year.
