Emart24 gas station retail expansion in Cambodia
Overview
Emart24 Cambodia is expanding its retail footprint through a partnership with local energy company BVM Petroleum to launch convenience stores integrated within gas stations. Following a memorandum of understanding signed in July, the companies opened their first combined location, the BVM Kour Srov store, near National Highway 2 in southern Phnom Penh.
The strategy utilizes BVM’s existing network to reach customers in provincial areas and along major transit routes, catering to the country’s reliance on cars and motorcycles. The partnership aims to expand these integrated stores to a maximum of 50 locations. Emart24, which entered the Cambodian market in June 2024, currently operates 42 stores and intends to increase that number to 70 by the end of the year.
