Embraer aircraft certification and delivery milestones

Embraer has achieved major milestones regarding its aircraft programs, specifically the certification of the Phenom 300EV light business jet. The aircraft received triple certification from Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), the United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

The Phenom 300EV is distinguished as the first light jet approved with the Garmin Autoland system, a safety feature designed to allow the aircraft to automatically select an airport, communicate with air traffic control, and land without pilot intervention if the pilot becomes incapacitated. Technical specifications for the model include rudder-by-wire capabilities, autobrake, and an increased range of 2,055 nautical miles.

In a significant commercial milestone, Embraer delivered its 2,000th E-Jet, an E195-E2, to the Brazilian carrier Azul Linhas Aéreas at its factory in São José dos Campos. This achievement places the E-Jet program among the three largest commercial jet families in history, alongside the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320. Since its service entry in 2004, the E-Jet family has accumulated approximately 48 million flight hours and transported over 2.85 billion passengers. Azul, a partner since 2008, now operates 140 E-Jet family units, with this delivery marking its 50th E2 generation aircraft.
