Emilia-Romagna healthcare infrastructure development

Emilia-Romagna regional President Michele de Pascale has been conducting several initiatives to improve and promote regional healthcare infrastructure, largely supported by PNRR funding.

On September 9, de Pascale inspected renovation and seismic upgrade works at Sant’Anna Hospital in Castelnovo ne’ Monti. The project, involving an investment of over 8.1 million euros, has seen the completion of structural works on Pavilion H, with current efforts focused on the first floor to finalize the main hospital entrance and medical equipment installation. De Pascale noted that such investments are vital for ensuring the “universal right to care” and addressing rural depopulation.

By September 11, regional efforts expanded to include the inauguration of a new Casa della Comunità in Medesano. This facility, costing over 1.6 million euros, provides integrated primary medicine, specialist services, and social care. Additionally, de Pascale is scheduled to participate in a public debate at the Festa dell’Unità in Ferrara to discuss national healthcare policies and the future stability of the regional health service.
