Entre Ríos province arts initiatives

Overview

In early July 2026, the Secretariat of Culture of Entre Ríos reiterated the final call for submissions to the 41st Encuentro Entrerriano de Teatro, confirming a July 10 deadline and a grant of 750,000 Argentine pesos for selected groups.

On 20 July, the Provincial Museum of the Image announced details of the 5th Annual Photography Salon, themed “Ecos de Nuestra Historia Entrerriana”. The competition is open to photographers who have lived in the province for at least three years, with prize money ranging from AR$900,000 for first place to AR$600,000 for third. Registration runs to 31 July, the jury will meet in August, and award ceremonies are planned for late September and October.

The same day, the Municipality of Paraná opened its call for the Feria de Arte Paraná, inviting galleries, cultural spaces and collective projects to apply online until 14 August. The fair will take place 11–13 September 2026 in Sala Mayo and aims to strengthen the visual-arts market in the Gran Paraná area.

On 4 August, a jury consisting of Anahí González Gras, Analía Juan, and Graciela Strappa selected twelve theatrical works from more than 60 submissions for the festival. Selected titles include regional pieces such as “Tucapán” (Concepción del Uruguay), “El color de los pájaros” (San José), “El muerto que baila” (Paraná), “La libertad miserable” (Concordia), and “Imagina Rubí” (Maciá).

The 41st Encuentro Entrerriano de Teatro was held from 21 to 23 August in General Galarza and Gualeguay. Organized by the Entre Ríos Secretary of Culture in collaboration with host municipalities and the cultural council CONTIER, the event featured free performances, community theater workshops, and professional training in areas such as management, scriptwriting, and acting for the camera. The program also included recognition ceremonies for the career achievements of CONTIER.
