Film festivals in Hungary and Romania have concluded their award ceremonies.

At the 22nd CineFest Miskolc International Film Festival, which reported record attendance with over 12,000 tickets sold, Sarah Arnold’s ‘Too Many Wild Animals’ received the Imre Pressburger Award. Gábor Reisz won the Zukor Adolf Grand Prize for ‘Ground Level’, becoming the first creator to win two major awards at the festival. The audience award went to Bernadette Mayer’s ‘Mommy Blue’.

In Cluj-Napoca, the 12th Filmgalopp awards were presented, with Lehel Fazakas winning the main prize for the short film ‘The Possibilities of Escape’. Other recipients included composer Albert Márkos (Sárga Csikó Award), journalist Lilla Gyöngyösi (Erika Fám Award), and Barna Ottó Zoltáni, who received the NMHH special award for the animated film ‘Ottó Zoltáni’.
