European renewable energy financing
Entities: ENGIE India · PPC Group · Greenvolt Power · Nadara · Grenergy
Overview
In late July 2026, capital flows into European clean‑energy projects accelerated. On 22 July, AMPYR Distributed Energy secured a €170 million debt facility from Crédit Agricole and Benefit Street Partners to acquire and develop distributed solar and battery storage assets across the United Kingdom and France, building on earlier acquisitions and a 2025 mezzanine loan.
A week later, on 29 July, independent producer Nadara closed a pan‑European refinancing of about €1.2 billion to fund a 1.5 GW portfolio of operating wind farms and solar PV sites spanning Italy, the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Sweden, Norway and Finland. The deal, alongside other contemporaneous clean‑energy financings in Spain, India and Hungary, underscored growing investor appetite for large‑scale renewable infrastructure across the continent.
