European sports associations transport funding
Overview
Various sports organizations in Croatia and Italy have secured funding to acquire new vehicles to improve athlete mobility.
In Croatia, the Croatian Olympic Committee allocated 330,000 euros through its ‘Active Communities’ program to fund 22 vans. This initiative supports various sports associations and clubs across multiple counties and cities, including Zagreb, Split, and Dubrovnik, to assist with transport for training and competitions.
In Italy, regional and private support has enabled new vehicle acquisitions for specific associations. In Mondovì, ASD Atletica Mondovì – Acqua S. Bernardo launched a nine-seater vehicle through the ‘Atletica senza distanze’ project, supported by a 35,000 euro contribution from Fondazione CRC. Similarly, in Porpetto, the Olimpia Porpetto association introduced a new minibus following a 15,000 euro regional contribution and local municipal support.
