Expointer agricultural fair in Rio Grande do Sul

Overview

The 49th Expointer in Esteio, Rio Grande do Sul, continues to highlight regional agricultural diversity. The Family Agriculture Pavilion features 509 exhibitors, including agro-industries, artisans, and producers of plants and flowers. This pavilion is also hosting the 14th Family Agriculture Product Contest, which has expanded to include 22 categories.

Beyond the fair, new developments are occurring in the state’s agricultural education and cooperative sectors. The Family Agricultural Schools (EFAs) have established a new entity, the União Gaúcha das Associações Escolas Famílias Agrícolas (Uniagefa), to strengthen the political, institutional, and pedagogical structures of the four existing schools serving approximately 650 students across 79 municipalities.

In the cooperative sector, the Association of Youth Committees of Copagril (ACJC) recently held an awards ceremony to recognize high productivity in soybean and corn crops for the 2025/2026 and 2026/2026 seasons. Additionally, Federarroz announced that the 37th Opening of the Rice and Grain Harvest in Lowlands will be launched during Expointer on September 1st, with the primary event scheduled for February 2027.
