Extremadura educational and mobility grant programs

Overview

The regional government of Extremadura has implemented several educational and mobility funding initiatives for the 2026/2027 period.

Initially, the government authorized a 928,000 euro subsidy program to support English language studies for approximately 2,900 compulsory secondary education students. This program provides up to 320 euros per course to eligible students in public centers, with recent updates allowing for online classes and adjusted income thresholds based on the Consumer Price Index.

Following this, the Regional Ministry of Education and Vocational Training allocated 105,000 euros specifically for school exchanges, enabling groups of students to live with host families abroad. Furthermore, the Cáceres 2031 Consortium introduced the ‘Mobility Grants Cáceres 2031’ program, offering up to 10,000 euros per person to assist residents in pursuing formal artistic training in other European countries.
