Fatal accidents in Tamaulipas, Mexico

In August 2026, four members of the Mexican Navy (Secretaría de Marina) died following a vehicle accident in La Pesca, within the municipality of Soto la Marina, Tamaulipas. The deceased have been identified as Edgar de Jesús González Torres, Héctor Iván Vázquez González, Daniel Ocampo Esquivel, and Klebeer Israel Meza. Tamaulipas Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya expressed condolences to the families and the naval institution.
