Fatal Victorville street racing collision

Overview

On August 14, a high-speed collision in Victorville, California, resulted in the deaths of two teenagers, Isabell DeLang, 16, and Maddalyn Dailey, 17. Investigators determined that Terry Lamar Easter was driving a Chevrolet Camaro at approximately 117 mph when he struck the victims’ vehicle, causing it to split in half. Easter reportedly fled the scene on foot, leaving his child in the vehicle.

Following a search during which authorities issued a $1 million arrest warrant and warned that Easter was ‘armed and dangerous,’ he turned himself in. He has since been charged with two counts of murder. The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office characterized the high-speed street racing incident as a ‘deliberate and extraordinarily dangerous choice.’
