Five Star Movement plan for Torre Annunziata

Overview

In late July 2024 the Five Star Movement introduced a 124‑page dossier outlining a programme to revive Torre Annunziata after the municipal council was dissolved over alleged Camorra infiltration. The document, presented by Senator Orfeo Mazzella, detailed 24 chapters covering security, urban cleanliness, waste management, public‑space renewal and proposals for new municipal offices to access national and EU funds.

A week later, the party released an expanded 131‑page dossier covering 25 thematic areas. It added proposals for port development, the Oplonti heritage site and broader social inclusion measures. Mazzella announced a series of at least 15 public meetings starting in September to involve citizens and prepare conflict‑free candidate lists for the upcoming municipal elections.
