Flooding accident in Caracas
Overview
Heavy rainfall in Caracas led to a fatal accident near the Monumental Simón Bolívar Stadium when a motorcycle carrying three people skidded due to rising water levels. Two passengers, a woman and a minor, were swept into an open drainage system through a manhole.
Following the initial incident, the body of the woman, identified as Keylin Quintero González, was recovered in the Santa Lucía sector of Miranda state. However, her five-year-old son, Keiber Quintero, remains missing. Emergency services, including Civil Protection and firefighters, are conducting massive search operations focused on pipes and secondary water channels throughout the Greater Caracas region.
