Dieese estimates a family would need R$ 7,565.86 to cover basic food expenses, approximately 4.67 times the current minimum wage. In Portugal, DECO Proteste data shows the essential 63-item food basket increased by 2.11 euros over the last week to reach 254.73 euros. This follows a previous weekly decrease. Significant recent price hikes include spiral pasta (up 22%), spaghetti (up 21%), and crustless sliced bread (up 14%).
