Football Association of Serbia leadership transition

Overview

The Football Association of Serbia (FSS) is undergoing a leadership transition as the mandate of Dragan Džajić expires. Initially, a constitutive assembly was scheduled for October 17 to elect a new president, with candidates required to secure support from at least five of the 85 delegates.

However, reports indicate the presidential election may be postponed to November, potentially marking the fourth consecutive delay in the process. While the assembly remains set for October 17 in Stara Pazova, the actual vote for the presidency might occur at a later date. If a November timeline is finalized, the deadline for candidate and Executive Board proposals would move to October 31.

There are reports that Dragan Džajić, who has served as acting president since March 2023, may have lost his status as a delegate, which could impact his ability to run for a full term.
