Ford Transit City launch and Ford Pro service expansion

Overview

Ford has announced the upcoming launch of the Transit City, an electric light commercial vehicle aimed at the last-mile delivery and urban service markets. In Brazil, the vehicle will be available in three configurations—a regular roof van, a high roof van, and a chassis-cab—all imported from China through a partnership with Jiangling Motors Corporation. The electric model features a 56 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery with an estimated range of 254 km.

At the IAA Nutzfahrzeuge in Hannover, Ford Pro showcased the full body spectrum of the Transit City, which is scheduled to reach dealers in the fourth quarter. To address rising competition and sales declines, the commercial division is pivoting toward data-driven solutions. Ford Pro is launching ‘Uptime Services’, which leverage data from 1.2 million connected vehicles to analyze maintenance needs and coordinate appointments through a network of over 200 Transit Centers.

To support small businesses, Ford Pro introduced a 0% financing offer for 60 months on eligible 2026 Ford Transit vans in September. Building on these support measures, Ford Pro launched a program on October 1 offering the first two maintenance services free of charge for the Transit line, including the electric E-Transit. In Brazil, this initiative provides savings of up to R$ 4,590 for diesel models and up to R$ 1,960 for E-Transit models over the first 40,000 km or two years. Following this period, customers can utilize Ford Protect N3XT prepaid packages to lock in future service prices.
