Ford Motor Company has issued two separate recalls involving various vehicle models.

In late July 2026, the company recalled approximately 6,000 vehicles in Germany and over 63,000 worldwide due to a software defect in the front-camera module. This fault caused the automatic high-beam system in models including the Kuga SUV, Transit vans, and Mustang Mach-E to function unintentionally. The German Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA) is monitoring the situation, though no injuries have been reported.

In August 2026, Ford announced a larger recall of 86,543 Mustang Mach-E electric vehicles. This recall addresses a defect where rear side quarter window glass trim could detach while the vehicle is in motion, potentially risking other road users. The issue was attributed to a new assembly jig used at a supplier facility in Mexico. While Ford estimates only about 1% of the affected 2023 to 2025 model year vehicles have the defect, 219 reports of detached trim have been recorded.
