Foreign suspect incidents in Pattaya

Overview

Authorities in Pattaya are investigating separate incidents involving foreign male suspects targeting local women.

In early September, police launched a search for a foreign man following a sexual assault at a cannabis shop near Walking Street. A female employee reported that the suspect harassed her through a glass door before forcing entry, making indecent contact, and exposing himself. The suspect fled after local residents intervened with sticks.

In early October, a different incident occurred in the Soi VC area where a foreign man, estimated to be approximately 40 years old, reportedly fired several shots at a squid food stall. The suspect allegedly made inappropriate sexual remarks toward a 27-year-old vendor; after being rejected and ordered to leave by her husband, he returned and discharged what may have been a cap gun or imitation firearm. Police are investigating the matter as potential intimidation or public disorder.
