Fuji TV drama Black Trick broadcast

Overview

The Fuji TV drama ‘Black Trick: The Lawyer Who Manipulates Judgment’, starring GACKT, is approaching its final episodes. The series follows a lawyer named Naoto Uramawashi who uses deception to protect clients and uncover truths involving corruption and urban development mysteries.

As the series nears its conclusion, guest appearances have been confirmed. Actress Shinju Ozawa and singer Ano are set to appear in upcoming episodes. Additionally, musician YOSHIKI is scheduled to appear as himself in the final episode on September 28. This collaboration follows social media interactions between GACKT and YOSHIKI, resulting in YOSHIKI traveling from the United States to Japan for a brief appearance.

Despite a cast including Kazuki Kitamura, Mikie Shida, and Fuju Kamio, the series has struggled with low viewership. Household ratings have frequently dipped below 5%, leading to projections that the show may rank among the lowest-rated programs in the history of the ‘Getsu 9’ time slot. Digital engagement on platforms like TVer has also declined. Critics suggest the series may have lost momentum after the penultimate episode resolved the arc involving a powerful politician. The final episode is expected to feature guest appearances by artists such as YOSHIKI, Kiriuin Sho, and Ano, potentially serving as an epilogue to the main storyline.
