Gas explosions in Piedras Negras, Mexico

Overview

In Piedras Negras, Coahuila, two simultaneous gas leak explosions occurred. The most severe blast, caused by a failure in gas conduits or a main container, resulted in one death and extensive material damage. A second explosion shortly after injured four individuals.

Emergency responders and the State Attorney General’s Office cordoned off the areas to investigate the exact causes of the accidents.
