GE Aerospace engine deliveries and orders
Overview
In late 2026, GE Aerospace fulfilled several engine-related commitments for international and domestic clients. In September, the company shipped four F404-IN20 turbofan jet engines to India to support the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) LCA Tejas fighter jet programme, following a smaller shipment in August.
By November, GE Aerospace secured orders for eight LM2500 marine gas turbines intended for two future U.S. Navy Arleigh Burke-class Flight III destroyers, the USS Ray Mabus and the USS Robert R. Ingram.
Concurrently, the Indian Navy has been working toward sovereign control over its LM2500 propulsion assets. This initiative aims to develop an indigenous digital control and diagnostics ecosystem to reduce reliance on foreign software and engine management systems.
