In October 2025, the Turngemeinde 1848 Osthofen organized a week‑long "Glücksferien" holiday focused on mental‑health skills such as resilience, emotional awareness and mindfulness for children aged 6‑10. A year later, similar community‑driven holiday initiatives took place in other German towns. In late July 2026, FC Olympia Kirrlach participated in Waghäusel’s program, offering football training, a DFB trial badge and a mini‑tournament for children aged six to eleven. Concurrently, the Arbeiterwohlfahrt (AWO) Main‑Kinzig branch funded and ran a multi‑day "Ferienspiele" in Neuberg, providing creative workshops, crafts, water games and meals for primary‑school children. Local volunteers and modest municipal and charitable funding supported these events.
